Mammút is a band that was formed hear in Laugalækjarkóli, they won the anual battle of bands called Músiktilraunir in the year 2004, only three months after the band was formed. Now they have released 2 albums: Mammút and Karkari and are going to take a 2 months tour around Europe and a few countrys out side Europe.
Lay Low is a well known singer, both here in Iceland and in Europe. She used to study at this school and was in the same grade as Linda, our math techer. Lay Low was born in London the year 1982 but at a young age she moved with her mother (who is Icelandic) and her father (wich is originally from Sri Lanka) to Iceland. Lay Low now sings both in Iceland and Europe. Her real name is Lovísa Elísabet Sigurðardóttir but in the year 2006 she took up the stage name Lay Low when she started composing her own music.
- Sigríður Thorlacius

Sigríður Thorlacius is the lead singer in the band Hjaltalín wich is a well known band here in Iceland. Sigríður studied at this school as well as the others and did well. She preformed for the school at its 50th year aniversary. Her first solo album was ‘‘ Á Ljúflingshól‘‘ and it was a sort of hit.

Helga Möller is a well known singer here in Iceland, she was one of the three singers in the treeo Icy witch where the first one to go to Eurovision on behalf of Iceland with the song Gleðibankinn(wich is still a verry famous song in iceland)

Elísabet Ormslev is a promissing young singer, she used to go to this school and finished only a year ago. She is well known from within the school. She took part in (Skrekkur) last year singing an Icelandic version of ‘‘Hey Big Spender‘‘ and put the school in second place. Now she studies at Verslunarskóli Íslands.
Herbert Guðmundsson used to go to Laugalækjarskóli in 1960, that was the year when the school was put to use. He began his career at a young age, he was only twelve when he started the band Raflost. Herbert is both a singer and actor. He for exsample playd in the realisation of Jesuse Christ Superstar at a time.
